Cities We Serve

Carmel

Carmel has long been one of California’s premier coastal cities. Located along the stunning Pacific coastline in Monterey County, this city is home to roughly 4,000 full-time residents and is the perfect place for anyone who wishes to live in a quiet, laid back atmosphere. Once part of a Spanish colonial settlement, the city has become a desirable place to live with some of the finest upscale housing in California.
While houses here aren’t usually for the budget-minded, rentals can sometimes be found for around $1,500 a month. As of June 2020, the city’s median home value is $1,516,217 with a median selling price of $1,693,100. Most of the local homes consist of luxury houses and condominiums, and some of these places to live offer spectacular ocean views and are adjacent to many of the city’s best shops and restaurants.

Most people here get around by car, as public transportation is limited. Many motorists use the Cabrillo Highway SR 1 (often simply referred to as “Highway 1”) to access other local cities and towns. This highway also features the Big Sur Coast Highway, which is considered to be one of the most scenic drives in the world.

Many people enjoy living and visiting here because of the city’s cultural offerings. The Forest Theater is an outdoor amphitheater that stages Shakespeare’s plays, concerts and other performance art shows during the year. The Golden Bough Playhouse, which is the headquarters for the Pacific Repertory Theatre, is another great place to see live performances. On the second Saturday of each month, local galleries open their doors to visitors as part of the city’s art walk.

The city is also famous for its prestigious golf courses that have hosted many famous golf tournaments. The Carmel Valley Ranch Golf Course is situated on a magnificent green rugged landscape with rolling hills that offer a picturesque backdrop. Iconic actor Clint Eastwood owns the Tehama Golf Club, which is also a popular wedding venue. The Quail Lodge Golf Club is bordered by large towering trees and even offers bag valet and other luxury services to guests. Known for being one of the most exclusive private clubs, The Preserve Golf Club features a spectacular course along with a clubhouse, where players can go and unwind after finishing their rounds.
